Remix 2013

Sunday 14th July 2013 saw our first four piece end of season display with members of the Ruthin and Denbigh Gym Club and guest recreational members Level 3 working through a variety of choreographed pieces of work. Over 150 gymnasts took centre stage and I think we can all say a big well done to all those who took part in this fantastic day. We had a fun packed day beginning with… a morning display to 100 parents and family members. The end of season display had a Remix twist to it bringing new and old pieces together…yes CRAZY FROG had a well deserved return to front stage with real little Kermit the Frogs zinging around the floor. Our race for life event followed with all gymnasts completing their mile circuit, cupcake decorating and Hot dogs by the millions Mary felt were consumed. We raised over £900 in total donating £461.72 to Cancer Research Charity and the remaining to support our club equipment purchase. The first fundraising event to link with a chosen charity and I think we can all be very proud of ourselves as a community of gymnasts, coaches, volunteers and parents.  Another 100 parents packed the hall to watch a 2nd performance with some coming back from the morning as they wanted to see it again it was so good! The Academy graduated in style and the Club received their Mentoring Award presented to the Head Coach by Matt Hilliker Denbighshire Leisure.
