Our Journey
A family-run club proudly serving our community for over 26 years. From our beginnings at Ruthin and Denbigh Leisure Centres, to the opening in 2017 of Clwyd House Gymnastics Centre — a Welsh Gymnastics accredited 5000 sq ft gymnastics facility in Denbigh.
We offer gymnastics for boys and girls from pre-school to adults, with a bespoke planning programme to nurture each gymnast to reach their full potential.
Classes are run by full-time dedicated specialist British Gymnastic qualified coaches in Team Gymnastics (Boys & Girls) , Womens Artistic, Trampoline & Pre School.
RDGC offer 2 disciplines of gymnastics, Team Gym (Boys & Girls), from Beginners to National League Level, and Women's Artistic, including GFA Grades and Tumbling IRCC-level.
Whether your child wants to master their Perfect Basics, or progress into Club or our DO MORE squad, our framework of development supports them every step of the way.
Our dedicated coaching team, alongside our academy of 40 coaching students, creates a positive, supportive environment where children can build confidence, friendships and a lifelong love of gymnastics.

Our Philosophy
Ruthin & Denbigh Gymnastics Club's Development Pathway reflects the clubs constitutional, inclusive grass-roots philosophy, to offer "Gym For All" classes to as many children as possible in the region.
The aim of this club is to coach each individual child to reach their full potential in gymnastics within a safe, effective, child-centered, fun learning environment.
RDGC prides itself as the first club to specialise in Team Gymnastics in Wales, and our competitive teams represent the club at regional and National League competitions across the UK.
Team Gym is a gymnastics discipline for everybody (Gym 4 All).
Offering a variety of activities, programmes, events and competitions suitable for all genders, age groups and abilities, Gymnastics for All contributes to personal health, fitness and well-being.
British Gymnastics Qualified Coaches
Classes are run by full-time dedicated Specialist British Gymnastic qualified coaches in Team Gymnastics (Boys & Girls), Womens Artistic, Trampoline & Pre-School.
The coaching team prides itself on the communication and to the detail, where safety and technical knowledge in performance is paramount.
RDGC Coaching Academy opened in 2011 and was the first in Wales, and continues to lead the way setting the standard for excellence. RDGC are currenty supporting over 40 Welsh Gymnastics Leaders on their journey.
Parents can be assured we are a Welsh Gymnastics Safe Sport Safeguarding Accredited Club.
Our coaches are all British Gymnastics qualified coaches at the appropriate level and have been screened for their suitability to work with children. A Welfare Officer has been appointed by the Club to monitor good practice, and uphold the club's welfare responsibilities.
Why Take Part in Gymnastics?
Gymnastics is a wonderful sport for boys and girls, and will help them develop coordination, strength, balance and flexibility, which are the fundamentals underpinning all other sports. It can also build self-esteem, and improve skills such as self-discipline and concentration. Plus, being a gymnast is a lot of fun!
